How do you remove nail polish from a dash board?

I spilled some red nail polish on my beige dashboard. What is safe to remove it with, without damaging the dash board? How do you remove nail polish from a dash board?
yep, previous answer is good. Try anything you use, try it on a part of the dashboard that isn't easily visible in case it disfigures it. Beyond simple soap and water and a sponge....I would try something like WD-40 first. It is a solvent but doesn't seem to do much, if any harm. Next I would try rubbing alcohol. I don't think that will work, but is worth a try. Next i would try simple paint thinner. As already mentioned, acetone would take off the paint, but also probably dissolve the plastic dash. The last resort might be Goof-off. It is made for just such things and is available at hardware stores. If you do get some disfigurement or discoloration try Armor-all to cover the damage up.How do you remove nail polish from a dash board?
See if you can find some nail polish remover that does not contain acetone. Try it out with a very small application as the remover might dissolve the plastic. For that matter, the nail polish might have already chemically bonded with the plastic of the dashboard. Try what you try in tiny tiny spots.
