How long does nail polish last before it expires?

I have many nail polishes that I've used only a handful of times. I was wondering how long will they last before having to be tossed out?How long does nail polish last before it expires?
do not put them in the fridge it ruins thenm and a year is about as long as you should keep them i am a nail tech and i change mine out yearlyHow long does nail polish last before it expires?
I usually only keep them about a year. I used to keep them longer but they get all gummy and it takes forever for them to dry... I say the newer the better. Good thing they're cheap, though... I have throw out many bottles that have been barely touched!
When the color separates in the bottle is is bad.
I don't think ever i have some from like 8 years ago, that still works fine, it smells a little funny though! i wouldn't throught it out if i were u!
i'm not sure how long it lasts, but to make it last longer you can refrigerate it!

How can i make my nails shine more brightly without using nail polish?

My nails are becoming yellowish. Need good suggestions. How can i make my nails shine more brightly without using nail polish?
Try lightly sanding your nails then buff them. I promise you this works because I do this a few times a month. Once you have the top of the nail smooth, buff until you start to see a little shimmer. Everyone thinks I use clear polish for the shine, but it's all natural.

Happy Buffing! How can i make my nails shine more brightly without using nail polish?
I'm sure you can tell by now, but get a buffer. They can be found by the nail stuff in the cosmetic section of stores and pharmacies.

Also, there are kiosks in the mall that sell that kind of stuff. I have a kit from there and it works great. This is where it's from http://www.obeyyourbody.com/Catalog_11.h鈥?/a>
use a buffer. It will smooth out the ridges and make them shine.
use a buffer! hope this helps!
sally-hansen has a great line..check it out

Get a buffer! They will look even shinier than if you put poish on them!
Try using a multi-nail buffer. You can go to CVS, Duane Reade, Rite-Aid, Pathmark, or any other drugstore.
eat plenty ov fresh fruits!

aswell as makin them look nicer, it helps them to grow
Use this nail kit, it's a little expensive but gives great results. Your nails will shine and look lots better! The moisturizer helps too cause it keeps your cuticles looking good :) Good luck!
use a 4-way buffer to make it file the nail, make it smooth and make it shine, you can get it from most stores in the nail care section.

Why does nail polish chip so much worse on real nails than fake ones?

I have real nails and it always chips within a few days if I get the cheap stuff. OPI lasts almost a week. Why does nail polish chip so much worse on real nails than fake ones?
Your real nails release moisture. so it lifts the pain, whilst the fake ones don't. Try using a base coat, those can sometimes help the nail polish last longer. Why does nail polish chip so much worse on real nails than fake ones?
Because your real nails are porous. Meaning the absorb moisture. There is shrinking and expanding that happens.
I think it chips worse on your real nails because they are kind of uneven. If you look really close there's like little dents and ridges, really tiny ones. And fake nails are perfectly smooth, so if you scrape your nail up against something it would come off the higher ridges easier, than if it's really smooth.

What colour nail polish should I wear on my toe nails?

It's for a special occasion. My dress is red and sandals are gold. Was going to have a french polish but wanted something a little more dramatic but not trashy. Any ideas???What colour nail polish should I wear on my toe nails?
I would say a light pale yellow color, or the suggestion of an organish-pinkish color.. that is a fun color that is neutral and will let your dress and gold sandals stand out a bit more. I Love pretty painted toes. Go with something classy though since its a special occassion.

It would be a fun idea with a red dress to go with a lighter/soft red/pink color and have fun designs on them or have red colored tips. What colour nail polish should I wear on my toe nails?
I'd say don't do red or gold cos it's very hard to get an exact match and something that doesn't quite match looks, well, like you tried and failed!

I like the idea of a french polish but with stones/diamante - perhaps gold ones?

Or perhaps silver polish for an evening occasion (gold and silver together are still on trend)
Red is hard to match and would detract from the shoes, I would go for the french, very classy, To wear a Colour with gold shoes is in my opinion spoiling the look, I quite like the idea that someone suggested a small diamante on one toenail, but nothing fancy, remember sometimes less is more !
I would do red tips ( like french ) and have the line that separates the red from the clear gold and I would do the hands the same way.I wish you the best of luck I am sure whatever you choose to do will be perfect. GOOD LUCK!
well first of all pick ur faves k? then see the one that matches and u can do a design like a chinese flower with red if u choose that or anything you like.

hope i helped!
The same shade as your dress, definitely. It will keep your outfit flowing.

Electric blue or black, with rhinestone decals/stickers!!!!
Same as your fingernails.
You should get a set of french tips with a nail design on your your big toes.
Have them do a ';French Manicure';. Then have them put a coat or two of the color ';Cotton Candy'; over it.

Yellow or red so it matches.
pinkish-orange. :D
RED!
Black and red or black n gold! :)
go for a goldy red, glittery but not too bright.
i think black will suit your dress color, and it wont make you look too over too!
go 4 french tips- go with any thing
gold
white french tips
peach would look pretty, its a combo of red and gold
red or gold
Black

  • How to get rid of nail polish remover from a CD?

I used on of those nail polish remover pads to clean my CD and now it messed up my CD badly and looks nasty on it. I can't even play my CD! How do I remove it? Any suggestions? How to get rid of nail polish remover from a CD?
You don't, the CD is wasted. The nail polish remover has destroyed the plastic the CD is made from. Nail polish remover has a chemical in it that eats plastic. The chemical is called Acetone. Next time you clean your CD's use something like denatured alcohol or plain water.

How do you get your nail polish to go on smooth?

I would love to paint my nails, but I can never seem to get the nail polish on without it streaking - too thin in some parts and too thick in others. What the heck am I doing wrong? Any tips or tricks? How do you get your nail polish to go on smooth?
use a base..or try buffing the nail first

good luckHow do you get your nail polish to go on smooth?
    1. Make sure your nails are prepped (free of oils and old polish etc). Apply a base coat (I like Sephora by OPI).

    2. Dip your brush into the polish, then wipe the sides against the edge of the bottle, so that there is an even amount on the brush.

    3. Lie your nails on a flat surface (table, desk, even a book)

    4. Paint one stripe down the center of your nail, then one either side. You only need three strips to cover your entire nail surface.

    5. Use your top coat - and don't move for 20 minutes until it's really set (stick your hands in a basin filled with cold water if you can't wait.

    Ry.
To get that high glossy look that most models have you do need to apply more than one coat. Shake the bottle first, and do one hand at a time. Wait for the first coat to dry before applying a second or third. Run the brush down the center of your finger nail. On smaller fingers this will be enough to cover the entire nail. on larger nails again the center then along each side. Don't worry about getting the polish on your skin as it will peel off with just a little warm water.
maybe its the nail polish you using

OPI is rlly good, you can go to ulta or sephora to buy it. And China Glaze is good too, you can go to sallys beauty supply and find them there ;]

How do you get nail polish off the skin around your nails?

I hate when I paint my nails that one hand looks good and the other one has nail polish not only on the nail but everywhere around it. How do I get it off by tomorrow? How do you get nail polish off the skin around your nails?
those solutions work but usually you mess up your pretty nails like that. let the polish dry on your skin. it will come off after its dry or when you are in the shower. take a shower in the morning or once it's dry. the shower will make it just fall off rather than peeling, picking, and touching. How do you get nail polish off the skin around your nails?
ok....dip a q-tip in acetone nail polish remover and wipe off the messed up areas...jus be careful that u dont get the polish on the nail itself.. this works and i do it ..it works.
Most people would dip a cotton bud in nail polish remover and carefully rub at the excess nail polish. However that can mess up your manicure if you're not careful. The alternative is to dip your hands in warm water for a few minutes to soften up the skin around your nails then carefully scrape with a wooden cuticle stick. Another method is to alter the way you apply polish. Get a small paintbrush(the ones used by model builders)dip it in polish and paint the parts of the nail where it meets the skin first. I came across this idea when I was low on black nail polish and tried using black acrylic paint and clear nail polish and found that using a small brush gave really good results
You can use a Q-tip dipped in polish remover, and you'll get best results if you wait until the polish dries first before doing this.

If you don't wanna wait until it dries, then after polishing each nail, immediately scrape the polish off with the tip of a metal nail file. Don't wait until you've done all 10 fingers, do this nail by nail.

Or you can just let it flake off naturally. Taking a shower can speed up the process.
just use some nail polish remover on a Q-tip.comes right off. or you could scape it off with your other nails. but eventually if you didnt do anything it would wash off by its self.
    I use a q-tip dipped in remover.
just use finger nail polish remover!! duh!!

How do I remove blue nail polish from beige carpet?

My friend and I were doing are nails in her bedroom, and her neighbor, a boy, 7, came in and wanted to paint something. How can I make my nail polish not thick and sticky and chunky?

My nail polish gets really chunky after a while. It is hard to apply to my nails. What can I do?How can I make my nail polish not thick and sticky and chunky?
add a little bit of acetone in your nail polish and shake it before use.How can I make my nail polish not thick and sticky and chunky?
that means its either cheap or old and time to get rid of it.
depending how think it is.. there are polish thinners that you can add to it, or it might just be time to toss it and get some quality ones. Spending a bit more for brands like OPI, Orly etc. you get your moneys worth- they last longer than the cheaper brands. Remember you get what you pay for.
Buy good quality polish for one thing. Don't leave the brush out for too long of a time. Use it and then replace it as soon as you are done. Also, by applying a thin layer of vaseline to the threads on the bottle of polish you will not only prevent it from sticking from any dried polish, it also forms a seal which helps prevent air from entering the bottle and making it thicken before its time. Always seal the bottles tightly.

Almost all polish will thicken over time, but if that happens, you can buy polish thinner at beauty supply stores such as Sally Beauty. Use only one or two drops, and shake well. It is suggested that you only thin the polish one time. If it thickens up again, then discard the bottle. Do not use polish remover to thin nail polish. It tends to dull the shine of the polish. Use only a polish thinner if anything at all. Personally, I just throw them away after they start to thicken. Also, store them in a cool, dark location. Some will tell you to store it in the refrigerator, but this is not a good idea as it causes problems with the polish. Just keep it out of the sun, and away from any heat source and you'll be fine.

    I hope this helps!
Just add some nail polish remover. Not too much and shake. This will not work on really old nail polish though. In this case buy new polish.
That has happened to me before, and what I do to fix that problem is that I pour a little bit of nail polish remover into the nail polish bottle to make it smooth again. You should give it a try. It works!
Put a few drops of Methylated Spirits into the bottle and give it a really good shake.

Sometimes nail polish just goes bad and you need to buy a new one.
i think that just happens if the lid isnt on tight enough. make sure its on good. and of course buy good quality polish.
Start with a good quality nail polish like the premier color collection of Kolibre Cosmetics. Roll the bottle in your palms just prior to opening, don't shake. This will prevent tiny air bubbles from being created inside that cause polish to become gooey. Keep the cap on tightly, when not in use. And store in a cool dark location like the door of your refrigerator. Contrary to other opinions, the coolness DOES slow down the deterioration of paint products.

    Tips %26amp; Warnings

    * Dry cleaning fluid can be purchased at a home supply store or a dry cleaners.

    * Always test the cleaning solutions on an inconspicuous area of the carpet before applying them to a large area.

    * Use a white cloth rather than a colored one to prevent any dyes from coming off on the carpet.

    * As you blot, keep turning the cloth so that you are using a clean, dry section to pick up the stain and the cleaning fluids from the carpet. Don't rub.

    * If using a brush to help clean the stain, always brush from the outer edges of the spill inward to prevent the stain from spreading.

    * Do not use nail-polish remover as it may bleach the carpet.

    Overall Things You'll Need

    * Dry Cleaning Fluid

    * Soft Dry Cloth

scrape what you can, if its dry you'll probably have to cut it out. Try hotspot carpet cleaner tho'
You can try with alcohol, or freeze it off. Put a few ice cubes in a plastic bag and rub. Then scrape off with a blunt knife
Try paint thinner or a glue stripper. You could also get a dye and make it blue. Could just cut it out and get a new piece (worst comes to worst)

How do I prevent my nail polish from smudging when I sleep?

I usually apply transparent nail polish in the morning, through the day it would be dry to feel but the following morning my nails would looked smudged and dull. I apply thin layers. Why does this happen? How do I prevent my nail polish from smudging when I sleep?
Buy a quick dry top coat.. trust me, this stuff is awesome. My favourite is Sally Hansen Insta-Dri. It is in a red bottle and in a white box. You can also try Orly ';In A Snap';, Seche Vite, or anything else that states it is quick dry.

With Sally Hansen, my nails are dry to the touch in 30 seconds, and I can go to bed about 10 minutes after polishing. How do I prevent my nail polish from smudging when I sleep?
Maybe you aren't allowing your nails to fully dry before adding another coat. start with a base coat. wait 15-20 minutes just to be safe then apply your color coat. wait another 15-20 minutes to be safe. then if you want a second color coat go ahead and add the second coats, again wait 15-20 minutes. then apply the top clear coat. That's what I do. The process takes a while, but my nails look good, and hardly chip.
Your nail polish probably sucks, buy Revelon or Wet N Wild, that usually stays on longer(=
u gotta let it thoroughly dry between layers. if u don't that's what causes the smudge and the pillow marks in the morning lol...I've been there

take an old white t-shirt dampen with water-add nail polish remover and wipe over area-DO NOT just rub the nail polish area and dont go hard. Repeat this up to three times adding more nail polish remover before you need to let the finish cure back up as you will have softened it. You can speed this with a hair drier. If there is still some left you can repeat the process moving to another area of the t-shirt. once removed apply a leather conditioner with protectant in it. If you cant find one you can contact me at http://www.advleather.com

    Good luck

Do what Jess said, just get a little bit on a cotton swab. Once you get the polish off, wipe the polish remover off with some leather cleaner. I don't think it would damage the leather, but I'm not sure.

I don't know for sure, I always thought it was the dye. I use bleach in warm soapy water to soak my nails, keeps them white. What is in dark nail polish that makes your nails go yellow?
It's the pigment in the polish. Use a good quality base coat to help prevent this. I use Creative Nail Design Sticky.
It has a red shade in it, and red turns the nail yellow. You absolutely must use a good base coat (I always use Orly Bonder rubberized base coat...I use two coats) before putting on black or dark blue/purple/green polish. Even high quality dark polishes will leave the stain.

I agree with the others sally hansen is great but you have to remove the old polish and apply new polish for them to grow faster and stronger. otherwise your just putting coat on top of coat.
none -hormones can have alot to do with nail health. consider changing your diet to exclude processed foods. watch portion sizing and eat a balanced diet. drink lotsa water. see your doctor to rule out a medical cause.
There is no miracle nail polish that will make your nails grow, although there are many strengthening polishes you can buy. I would recommend Sally Hansen products.

Home Depot sells a product by the makers of ZEP called Carpet Cleaner (genius), but this stuff is great for removing junk on the carpet. I spilled red wine on our beige carpet and after a few sprays and some elbow grease, it came right out. No stains or anything.

Good Luck. How do I get dark nail polish off of my carpet?
You might try gun cleaner.....I'm not kidding. The active ingredient in most gun cleaning solvents is 1,1,1 Trichloroethylene. This is the same thing that dry cleaners use to dry clean clothes. I use a product called ';Gun Scrubber'; made by ';Birchwood Casey.'; It is available at most sporting goods stores in the hunting supplies section.

The way I would attack the problem is to place a clean paper towel over the stain and spray the gun cleaner onto the towel and press it against the stain.

You may want to test a spot on the rug that is hidden. The one risk that you might encounter is spreading the stain and making it larger.

And keep in mind the gun cleaner will smell and if you get it on your hands it will evaporate very quickly, leaving your skin feeling dry.
    scissors. get them at walmart.
Perhaps you could try ';goof off';. If you don't have some in your house then you should. It will also remove ink from material so should work on your fingernail polish.

Goof Off has removed fingernail polish from shirts before so it works on some materials but don't know about carpet.

Goof Off comes in all sizes... I can't afford to be without it.. removes labels very easily too.

    Hope this helps some

    Remove Nail Polish Stains From:

Acrylic Fabric, Burlap Cotton, Linen, Modacrylic,

    Nylon, Olefin, Polyester, Rope, Spandex

Scrape the excess. Test acetone on an inconspicuous place. If fiber color doesn't change, flush acetone through the stain to an absorbent pad. When no more stain is being removed, change pads and flush well with dry-cleaning solvent. Allow to dry thoroughly.

    Good luck!
Try this, scrape the excess. You will need acetone so test acetone on an inconspicuous place on the jeans somewhere. If fiber colour doesn't change, flush acetone through the stain to an absorbent pad. When no more stain is being removed, change pads and flush well with dry-cleaning solvent. Allow to dry thoroughly. Then just wash as normal. Good luck. Also just google it and any good how to site will help you. :)
buy a bottle of acetone from the paint department of the nearest home center. Put a thick stack of paper towels under the stain. Start at the outside of the stain and pour the acetone in a circle around the stain. The acetone should dissolve the polish and wash it through the fabric.
first let it dry then scrape as much as you can off lightly

now get you come clear finger nail polish remover not the colored one rub gently all ways test a hidden spot on your pants using any thing that way you can be safe not to make it worse good luck
Pain remover like Varsol should work ,put some on the spot and rub together .

i think u go to my school you asked that question!!!

How do I make my nail polish stop peeling?

I've never really had any issues with my nail polish chipping, but it peels like crazy. It comes off in one big whole strip, just like a band-aid! I think its in part because I have to use three coats: one coat of nail growth treatment, then two coats of color. I need the growth treatment, it helps sooooo much, and I know using one thick coat of color is just going to make it peel easier. So is there any way I can make it stop peeling? How do I make my nail polish stop peeling?
Cosmetologist/nail tech of 25 years here!!

Ok..your nails are probably oily and that is what is causing the lifting.

You need to try these couple of things. Prep the nail plate by taking a cotton ball with alcohol and cleaning off nail plate. This removes all oils and depletes the oils which cause lifting.

You need to avoid contact with skin tissue around the nail plate ...because oils seep under the polish and causes lifting.

There is also a skin called a teringium that is sometimes stuck to the nail plate...around the cuticle area....this needs to be loosened and or removed to prevent skins oils from accumulating.

There is a great...fantastic product by CNL called Sticky. When applied as a base coat is sticky...and it adheres the polish to the nail plate better.

Use fresh polish...and store your polish in the refrig...the coolness keeps polish from thickening....

Top coat is another protective coat that can make your polish last a lot longer....

Try these things and see if they resolve the issues you are having.

I hope my answers are useful to you and good luck!!How do I make my nail polish stop peeling?
Sounds like you need to put on a base coat %26amp; a top coat. OPI is a great brand to use, base %26amp; top coat come in the same bottle. It makes my nail polish stay on weeks %26amp; it never peels off. Use the nail growth stuff then put the OPI stuff overtop %26amp; then apply your nail polish. Also try to use a better brand of nail polish, it makes a big difference.
rub nail polish remover or rubbing alcohol on your nails, because it gets rid of any oils on your nail, which make the polish peel.
Try using Sally Hansen clear coat on top once your other polish dries. (I buy it at a drug store or WalMart). Its fairly cheap and it really helps your nails if you continue to use it.
clear on top and good polish, not cheap

    mine?

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?…
If you put on a clear coding after the colored nail polish is dry it won't peel off as fast
Use high quality nail polish and then put a good top coat over it.
dont use the nail growth and use two coats of color, then a thin clear top coat...hope this helps...also sally hanson makes a cuticle pen that puts moisture all around the nail bed and I love it..
use a reallly good top coat over the color.

And dont get cheap nail poilish

Vaguely, because that's the style of a French manicure, however it is a French manicure because it's meant to be a natural nail with a white tip... :)

I guess it still counts. But does it really matter if not? :s
Technically yes. But not a traditioal 1.

Try some gumption. It will get rid of heaps of stuff. It is an Aussie product check out this website...

If it didn't come off with acetone, that mean it has soaked and bonded with the plastic. Sorry. the kids won't mind.
Doesn't sound good. One more try with rubbing alcohol, then lighter fuel then if all else fails try goof off.
Goo Gone may work for that, it's available everywhere if you don't already have it.

What color nail polish lasts the longest?

And what tips to apply the polish helps it stay on longer? What color nail polish lasts the longest?
A lot dependes on how well you take care of your nails and if your hands are in water much. The first thing is be sure and use a base coat before polishing next be sure and apply 2 coats of polish and follow up with a top coat. Make sure your nails are completly dry before doing anything. I just love OPI polsih its a lillte expensive but I think you will find it well worth it. Most nail salons use it and each bottle has the cutest name for each color. Hope this helps StephanieWhat color nail polish lasts the longest?
I find most color polish last about the same. It depends on the prep you do to your nails before you apply.

I try to buff it a little then clean it with your nail polish remover (to remove off the natural oils so nail polish can bind to the nails better). I love the Sally Hansen Diamond top coat.
Lighter colors don't show chips as much from a distance.

Try Chip Skip by OPI http://www.opi.com/chipskip.asp

Reapplying a top coat every couple of days helps too. I love Seche Vite topcoat http://www.drugstore.com/qxp151193_33318鈥?/a>

And use high-quality polish to begin with. Essie, OPI, China Glaze... I've heard Essie is better for natural nails, but I've used them all and done fine. I hate to give a price point for quality, but usually if it's closer to $10, you're getting a better product. Many companies sell tiny sampler bottles, which I prefer since the product never gets funky and I can always stay current. :)
Apply a clear top coat every other day to help it from chipping fast. This helps a lot if you go to school and play sports; where i find my nails chip the most.

What color nail polish besides, a french manicure, goes with a blue dress.?

I am wearing a blue dress to my friends sweet 16 and it is dark-ish blue. I was wondering what color nailpolish i should wear? My friend suggested white, i dont want to use a light pink or anything like a french manicure, any suggestions? What color nail polish besides, a french manicure, goes with a blue dress.?
I actually like the look of a champagne-y color with any blue. Most people think that you should wear silver, but it can look too matchy-matchy in my opinion. A light shimmery beige will look amazing with your dress, and you can still wear whatever color accessories you want. What color nail polish besides, a french manicure, goes with a blue dress.?
i really like natural nails, so a french manicure is really classic and would look gorgeous. If it's darkish blue then you could go with glittery black nail polish, or fire engine red is always great.
silver polish looks awesome with blue! they have it at the drugstore.

What color nail polish should I use for my toes?

My little toes are small and cute but my big toes looks so huge to me. I want to wear a polish that will give the illusion that my big toe is smaller. Light pinks? Dark pinks? Dark reds? Bright reds? Some other color? What do you suggest?

Also, I work in an office and wear open-toed shoes now that it's getting warmer so no greens or blues or off-beat colors ;-) Thanks! What color nail polish should I use for my toes?
Well since your in office environment as well as I am, I'll tell you what i do... first of all i don't paint my toes myself i go to the shop and get the french with the white you know like a french manicure but on your feet. It's very professional and it can go and match with anything you have on and it won't draw any attention except for the compliments you will get lolWhat color nail polish should I use for my toes?
I also have light skin and I think French Manicures definately looks sexxy and can be worn in a professional office environment. Just try a French Manicure on your toes once and you will love it!
Most people have your kind of feet. I do, but I love bright colors for this time of year. Oranges, bright pinks and corals look great. Don't worry so much! Get what you like. Nobody is going to get down and examine your feet anyway!
    White like french polish
I have the same problem with my big toes and use a dark red. That usually helps mine look more uniform.
Personally, I believe darker colors stand out more and draw more attention to your toes (and hence, the problem you described) I say go for a nice summery color that won't be too loud. I suggest a nice coral color, it looks great on everyone!
I have the same problem and I tend to use light pinks, hope this helps and good luck!
    I have those toes too!

Tiny little toes 8 of 'em.

    From the back--Gumdrop toes.

What the heck, try a French white tip pen. You have the Big toe for it!!!!!!!!!!!!A great canvas. I love mine.
Personally I don't like bright colors for nail polish.I prefer dull colors. Colors like dark red, purple, brown or even dark pink should do the magic for you. Good luck!

    Try a dark red.

What color nail polish should I wear?

I'm going to be wearing suits, a black one and a grey one, and I need to know what color nail polish I should wear on my fingernails that will go with any color. I'm planning on getting french tips on my toe nails and didn't know if I should do french tips on my fingernails or just shiny or a color. Any ideas? What color nail polish should I wear?
Just get them painted in a nude tone. It's professional and it can go with anything. What color nail polish should I wear?
    dark purple

    or black

    or a pearl color
yes you should do the french manicure on your finger nails because it will go with any thing and guess what you are not doing this just for special occasion but its going to stay on afterwerds its classy but also simple
French tips would be the best choice because they go with anything, but you could also do dark red.
Yes get french tips! Your toes and fingers will match and it's the only thing that will go with ANYTHING!
I suggest a light pink. Maybe something that is a little more clear or something like that so it would be shiny. But nothing flashy.
Pink is my favorite on nails =]]
    dark purple
I say french tips... no nail polish! Polish gets scratched and peels off your nails reaaaaaaaalllllyy fast. Messed up nails wouldn't look professional, and wouldn't match your suits. Nail polish went out ages ago! 2007 is all about looking natural! No paint! :)
you should get red.its classy and will add a touch of color to your outfit..

ok well if you want your nails to stand out, i would paint them a brighter and cool colour like silver or hot pink (personally i think it looks better if your nail polish doesn't 'match' outfits) but if you want to kind of go for the darker look i'd say dark red or black. Also, for the eyeshadow, i would use golden tones because they will really make your eyes stand out against the dress and make your eyes look really warm.

How come nail polish applied to toenails lasts longer?

Whenever I paint my toenails and fingernails the polish on my fingernails starts to fade first, why does this happen? How come nail polish applied to toenails lasts longer?
u dont use feet as much as

    you do hands

(as in work with your hands)

(not walking)How come nail polish applied to toenails lasts longer?
    Okay.

Try to think of ALL the things your hands have come in to contact with today.

    ...

It is a LOT of things.

    Now;

think about what your toes have come in to contact with today.

    ...

well most likely, that list includes socks and air.

Finger Nail Polish just gets rubbed off easier, because you use your hands so much.
because you're not using your toes and feet to write or to use as much as your fingers and hands. as well when you shower or bath, you don't scrub your feet as much. you wash your hands on a daily base too.
I think it is because you cover and protect your toenails while your fingers yoy hit and chip on things. Not ot mention they are exposed mor eot the elements and soap ect.
Because you wash your hands a lot and use your hands for a lot more things than you do your feet.
your feet aren't as exposed as your hands and you constantly do things with your hands :)
Your feet aren't used to constantly pick things up and stuff.
    Think about it. Common sense

If your wearing silver accessories, you should wear silver nail polish! (silver tips would look nice!)

Or, if you want your nails to stand out against your outfit, wear a neon color like bright pink or green.

I actually think a plum color would look nice.

Try a bunch of different colors and see which one looks best. (don't try on a bunch of different colors, just hold them up to your outfit)

I hope I helped! Good luck with the prom!

P.S. Any nail color would look good for a prom.
Oooo oooo pur a bright sunny yellow! So they really stand out and its a happy color! The color will REALLY make u stand out in an amazing way! Considering that on ur prom night, u should b amazing, not just ';good';!!
I think a navy blue with sparkly thingies on it would look quite nice. Or you could go with the traditional french tips. And there's always red. :)
French manicure with a couple of those tiny sparkly rhinestones on the white tips.
    Something bright like:hot pink,electric yellow,or a lime green it'll look great
    do a silver frence manicure
Either red or a silver french tip.
A bright red or french tips with a silver line :p
pink would also go, either hot or baby pink!
any colour would go with black and silver !

how about a nice bright blue??

    xx ; D
definitely red!! they'll fully stand out!!
    RED XD

What color nail polish should I wear with a black dress with a white ribbon on it?

There's a winter ball tonight and I don't usually wear nail polish.I'm going to wear black sandals and my toes will show.I want to know what to paint my toes and my fingers.I also don't want it to stand out too much so I thought red will be a bad idea. What color nail polish should I wear with a black dress with a white ribbon on it?
    French manicure!

And do it to your toes too. What color nail polish should I wear with a black dress with a white ribbon on it?
if you don't want it to stand out much, do a light sheer pink, or a nude color. it will match your drress also. have fun!
I would try black or white nail polish or maybe just go simple and wear red and pink. maybe you should mix match and have two colors. One on each finger or hand.
I would try a color close to skin/natural color...... like a floral peach color and maybe just do a classic white French tip for fingernails..

    :D
French manicure. It is classy, yet it doesn't show that much! it will be a perfect addition to your outfit! Have fun at your dance!
    deep purple

    pale pink

    black

    dark red

    dark green

Rimmel 60 second nail polish is great. My favourite color of it is no: 875 called zeitgeist
What color is the dress? I personally think for a dance a deep crimson is sexy and sophist.
A bright turquoise, or lime green.

It would make them stand out and everyone would notice.

white to match the ribbon but not like white-out white but like a clearish white
a french manicure will definately be the best but if you can't do that then you should paint them white.
    crimson or french manicure
    Try a deep red.
    black cherry
    Black?
    french tip!

    it matches anything
    black
    a dark purple color. :)
    go with a nice clear

What is the best way to keep nail polish on natural nails?

I put nail polish on my nails and it starts to chip after 1 day. Any ideas? What is the best way to keep nail polish on natural nails?
Seal the polish in with a top coat and prep it with a base coat.

If you can apply two or three coats for coverage, stick with two.

Sometimes the polish gets too thick and almost peels off the nail. What is the best way to keep nail polish on natural nails?
File the top of the nail gently so that the polish can stick more. Put two coats and a clear topcoat on after that...
Use a base coat. I use O.P.I Chip Skip then i use Stickey base coat then polish. It stays a lot longer!
put sealer on under the polish then over it too.
put a base coat on under it and possibly a top coat on after that. Base coat and top coat are clear nailpolishes that help nailpolish stick.
Always use a base coat and a top coat and before you paint your nails with anything soak them in water and soap. make sure there clean and filed.

    good luck

What colour nail polish should I wear?

I am a male to female cross dresser who is still ';in the closet';. However, I am planning to start telling people soon but want to start having things like manicures, pedicures etc.

So, does anyone have any ideas for a nail colour that I can wear for every day wear as a guy? They are semi long and I don't like the black look. What colour nail polish should I wear?
I know guys and girls who wear black nail polish, and I think it actually looks pretty cool, and I know you said you don't like the black look, but you should consider it, you might like it. I think really dark red nail polish looks nice for both genders too. But if you want something that maybe won't stand out as much, maybe you should try a pearly white, that might be less noticeable, or maybe a skin tone would workWhat colour nail polish should I wear?
You could go with clear or skin color.

    My favorite is blue.
well for a guy red...its hot but not to femaneim
clear or really light pink, almost nude.
I wouldn't go with black because it simbolizes death, red is considered a whoes color, hoestly I would just go with nothing just make sure your nails are well taklen care of. But if it'd color you want, maybe a nice shade of pink!

  • What color nail polish should I wear with a purple mother of the groom dress?

My son's wedding is May 19, I need some suggestions on nail color and jewelry, my dress is a dark purple. What color nail polish should I wear with a purple mother of the groom dress?
What color are your shoes? Is the dress strapless, halter? I need more info. What color nail polish should I wear with a purple mother of the groom dress?
Since the dress is such a deep color, I would stick with just natural nails, with a clear top coat. Or a french manicure, both would look very pretty and classy. As for jewelry, once again I would stick with simple. Maybe some small diamond or pearl earrings. I would let the dress be the main focal point, a bunch of jewelery and flashy nails would take that away. Congrats on your son getting married! Have fun!
How about a nice plain French manicure for the fingers.
Dark purple nail polish on your toe nails would be super hot!
I think a french manicure. Clear with white tips
french manicure for your nails and subtle silver jewelery as a dark purple dress should draw enough attention without overdoing it with too much jewelery. I hope the wedding goes really well.
go for pale pink it will compliment the purple in the dress, for jewelry I'd go for silver, with maybe some mother of pearl, which will again compliment your choice of outfit.
Clear coat finger nails with maybe white tips. For jewelry, I would wear very small or medium pearl earings and a pearl necklace. Another suggestion aside from pearls -- gold jewelry, but nothing gawdy or big.
I would say a French manicure or something very natural
A french tip is always classy and diamonds are 4ever
i would get a french manicure or silver and with jewelry i would wear something close to wat the bride is wearing

What color nail polish would look best for me?

    I have fair skin, but my deramtologist says ';very fair skin';

I don't have time to do my nails everyday to match my clothes perfectly so I'm looking for a color that would look best with my skin tone. I am a teen. I don't want it to be pink sparkles because that would look to young and a deep maroon-y brown color would look to old. Suggestions? What color nail polish would look best for me?
peech would look cute but if thats too dull for your taste then try a lavender or light pink. Good Luck:)What color nail polish would look best for me?
I would go with a natural pink or peachy color. Red is always pretty with fair skin but it may be too bright for you. Start with naturals (pinks and nudes) and go from there. Essie and OPI have lots of colors to choose from, too.
just match it up w/ ur eyes

    email me at angelcake1204@yahoo.com

and show me a pic of u and i can tell u some colors that would look great w/ u

*****only do this if ur comfortable w/ it*****

go for baby blues, baby greens, baby pinks.

or do the white colour but with the shimmering pearl illusion look so when you move the colour changes. :)

also gold would look G.L.A.M.O.R.O.U.S x
personally i think you should either go for the black effect or would you rather go for a more yellowish color or orange cuz those colors will definetly match your skin. Tell me if this helps luv ya!!!!!!!
as you have quite fair skin then i would go with natural colours as i know these go well with fair skin !!!

    hope this helps

a lighter purple, not quite lavender.

What color nail polish matches a white and brown sandal?

My dress is a light gold/dark yellowish color (dont really know how to explain it). But I have white straps and the base of the sandal is brown (which you really cant see much brown). What color nail polish matches a white and brown sandal?
I love the colour coral on nails, especially with this combination of browns and golds and whites. A deep red would be too much, purple, green or blue just wouldn't be the right tone. A manicure is the next best thing to be honest.

This may be a tad too orange, but I'm sure you could find the perfect shade; http://m100.photobucket.com/image/coral%鈥?/a>What color nail polish matches a white and brown sandal?
Figure out what part of your outfit, dress or sandles, that you most want to emphasize. Nail polish can really detract from bold colors. Especially if you are wearing accesories.

I'm gonna say get a french manicular. But if you want to be bold, go for a pinky peach color, deep or medium. A deep or medium coral is beautiful too. Matches all skin tones.

I know you want to match the sandles the most, but if you are barely seeing them what's the point? And anyway, brown is an earthy color, so bold nail polish could be fun!

Long-winded answer, I know, I just like looking at fashion and colors from all angles.

How does nail polish remover affect hair?

I've seen that hair extension removers have the same ingredients and smell exactly like nail polish removers. They dissolve the keratin glue. Do they affect human hair in a bad way..? Weaken it? Or is it safe to use?How does nail polish remover affect hair?
Doesn't sound like a good idea to me. Use what is meant to be used to remove hair extentions and nothing else. How does nail polish remover affect hair?
I dont think they would use a remover bad for your hair cos you can sue if that happens

What colour nail polish would look good with a coral dress?

I'm going to a wedding tomorrow, it's nothing fancy but i don't know what colour I should paint my toe nails. I have a flowy coral dress and gold strapy sandals. Any ideas? What colour nail polish would look good with a coral dress?
French pedi, or a Pearl to light pale pink color / orange color, would all look good :DWhat colour nail polish would look good with a coral dress?
Go with something neutral with a frosty or sparkly sheen.

Something dark will clash with your dress.

You COULD do pink (it would match) but I feel like it would throw off your outfit. And if you did a coral polish you would be driving yourself nuts trying to find the shade that matches perfectly.

Something bright might be too loud with the vibrant color that your dress is.

So something a natural beige or nude color. I would recommend with a sparkle to it, just to dress it up. Besides, the focus should be on the outfit and not your nails. :)
Pearl for sure...unless you want the french manicure look on your toes. That would look pretty cool.

Always go for a lighter color than your dress. You never want to over power your outfit.

With that in mind you could just go with a Gloss.
    maybe a dark deep purple!

    like

OPI's Lincoln park after dark, its absolutely gorgeous! it will make your light colored outfit POP!

also a navy or dark espresso brown (:
Coral (only if you could match it well enough)

    ~OR~

    French.

I would go for french, personally. Have fun!!!

    ~C~
Red, or a French Manicure. The red will really compliment the peachy tone of your dress, while a french manicure is always classy and elegant.
Go with a natural color with shimmer. That is always the best way to go when your wearing colors like that.
french manicure, but if you have no time for one, i would go with maybe a light pink, like a very light pink
You should definitely get a French manicure.
Go with a deeper coral than the dress as a contrast would look like overkill
    Electric blue.
Coral, or metallic gold to match the shoes, I'd say.
Maybe just a clear coat. Could you get french tips on your toe nails...?
any color that matches you well because you have a bright personality

I agree with the girls above, pearl would look great.
    Frosted White,
    Purple
    Pearl

    red..pink..yellow
    I agree w/ the girl above...Pearl/creme color.

u could do a neutral color like white, black, or a brownish color.

What color nail polish should I wear with red heels?

I am wearing a dark gray satin dress with open toe red heels. What color of nail polish should I wear? What color nail polish should I wear with red heels?
definitly not red!!!! i am a nail tech and i know with red you can never never never find the same red that the shoes are. even if you bring them along. you would look so bad if you did red and they didnt match the shoes. i would opt for black or a deep color of charcoal. this would definitly look great with your grey dress and the pink one. maybe a white with a black french tip ot vice versa and as always french is fine but again to plain jane and i am sure you want to look hot and somewhat have your feet stand out or you wouldnt be asking this ?. so hope it turns out for you. good luckWhat color nail polish should I wear with red heels?
    red for sure. :D

I'd go with black, but that's just me.

    (:

I would NOT do beige...ugly much? %26amp; it could blend in with your skin.

Red would also bring out your shoes more, if you're into more color.
I'd say beige, because you want the focus to be on your hot red shoes.........

Or if you prefer the edgy look, try black to make it chic.

A classic French manicure would look hot too!

    Hope this helps lots!
    red =]
i like the beige idea. red would be too much

edit: beige w/ red flower or design

  • What can be used to remove nail polish other than nail polish remover?

So i just used the last of my nail polish remover to paint my nails red...and needless to say it was a disaster. What can i use to remove the polish without having to go to the store? What can be used to remove nail polish other than nail polish remover?
Just scrape it off. What can be used to remove nail polish other than nail polish remover?
    ';like disolves like';

if you're desparate.. put a little more nail polish on the nail, wait a minute so that the polish doesn't dry, but so that it dissolved the other polish, and wipe it off.. if you wait too long, it'll harden and you might just end up with nail polish messed up by what you're wiping with
if you paint another coat, and quickly wipe it off

it'll take the original polish off as well

and apparently duct tape works too ?

my friend was playing with it yesterday and put it over her nails, she ripped it off and her nail polish came off with it,

    haha

but i don't know, try the first one..
    try using rubbing alcohol

How can I paint my nails without getting nail polish on my fingers?

Everytime I paint my nails, I get nail polish on the skin by the sides of my nails. How can I paint my nails without getting nail polish on my fingers?
As you paint each nail, pull back the sides a bit with the other fingers on the hand being painted. It's hard to explain but it works.

Always keep an orange stick and nail polish remover handy. If you get any polish on your fingers, dip the end of the stick in remover and gently scrape away the excess polish. (I use a stick instead of a q-tip because the cotton fibers can get stuck on your freshly painted nail)

When your nails are dry, use a generous amount of hand lotion around your nails. With a fresh orange stick, gently scrape away any excess polish. This is a little more gentle than using nail polish remover on your skin. How can I paint my nails without getting nail polish on my fingers?
i dont know, and the funny thing is is that i was wondering the same thing when i saw this message.

Im sorry that i dont know, but heres a trick-

i couldnt find my nail polish remover so just use a bottle of hand sanitizer, and a old t-shirt. (preferably germ-x)

i squirted alot on my hands, and used the old t-shirt to scrub it off, and walla!!

clean hands with the nail polish on the fingers

(warning- only use when nail polish is dry on nails)
i do the same thing, especially since my nails are so short, but i just try my best and then use a q-tip (or many, depending on the amount) and nail polish remover. then i just rub it off of the skin part of my finger. it can be a little bit time consuming depending on the amount you have on your skin but it also works if you want to get it off. hope this helps you :)
Take your sweet time and do it very carefully. And keep some q-tips on hand with nail polish remover on hand. Then wash your hands with soap. Don't worry, this happens to me all the time! Especially to my right hand because I'm right handed.

    xoxo

    -Blah
    Skill.

If you get it on your fingers, try rubbing that area with a nail files to get the polish off, or use a q-tip with remover on it.
Paint slowly and carefully. If that doesn't work then put a layer of vaseline of lotion around that area before painting
i just wipe it off my fingers after with nailpolish remover and a q-tip...but i guess u can try being really careful and go slow when painting them
Slow smooth strokes. Practice makes perfect. =)

Can over using nail polish remover make your nails turn yellow?

I paint my nails a lot, and change the color a lot too. I change the color sometimes as often as every other day.

I've noticed that my finger nails now have a yellow tint to them. Could the nail polish remover that I'm using be causing this?

If not, what could it be, and how can I cure it?Can over using nail polish remover make your nails turn yellow?
its the nail polish you need to use a clear undercoat before you paint them. your nails will stop being yellow after about 3 weeks probably, if you look after them

if you're already using a clear coat and there still going yellow, get new nail polish, or a new clear undercoatCan over using nail polish remover make your nails turn yellow?
Dark polish can do that, especially if it's red, brown, or purple. It's not dangerous, but it doesn't look good. You can prevent it by applying a coat of clear polish before you apply colored nail polish.

For now, try soaking your hands in warm water with lots of lemon juice or rubbing the fingers with a cotton ball soaked in lemon juice- it should lighten the yellowness. Rubbing them with hydrogen peroxide (the kind that you get for disinfecting cuts, not the kind for coloring your hair) also helps. I believe Sally Hansen also makes a product that is supposed to help with this, but I'm not sure.
well this happened to me but it wasnt the nail polish remover---it was the nail polish. it turns out the nail polish actually stained my nails. there isnt really anyhting (that i kno of) you can do about escept let it grw out and stuff. next time you paint your nails just put a clear base coat on before the color and it shouldnt stain.

it may also be that you are lacking nutrients needed in your nails. just a thought but i think it just might be the nail polish.
I don't think its the nail remover, but the polish. I have the same problem, and I was actually looking for something at the store tonight. However what I found was 15 bucks, and not something that worthwhile to me. I found from another post on here that soaking your nails in warm water with a denture tablet will help! :)
I know that nail polish can tint your nails, so I'd try using a base coat if you don't already do so.

If that doesn't help, then try a different brand of nail polish remover...though I've never heard of it yellowing nails, it could. idk

How to get nail polish to stay on nails for more then a day?

I put nail polish on my nails yesterday and it is coming off. how can i stop this from happening? How to get nail polish to stay on nails for more then a day?
You need to prep the nail for the polish.

    1. Clean the nail by using a polish remover.

    2. File and shape ends leaving no rough edges.

    3. Lightly buff nail ends and top of nails to smooth out any rough edges.

    4. Use polish remover again to remove dust from filing and buffing,

    5. Use rubbing alcohol or a nail prepping primer on nails. Apply to nails until the nail looks cloudy and dry. I apply it 2 times to each nail.

    6. Apply polish.

    7. Use a good top coat. I like Seche Vite. It is a quick dry top coat. You can only get this top coat from a salon or beauty supply store.

I do this to all my natural nail customers and on most of them the polish lasts for about a week. But if you are active apply a light coat of top coat daily!!!How to get nail polish to stay on nails for more then a day?
but a top coat on it ... so it has

base coat, colour, second layer of colour, and top coat

this usually makes it last longer
Don't wash it off.... JK, maybe get a different brand, or put on a top clear coat. That will help it stay on stronger.
There isnt alot you can do to keep it on very long. Buy the nail polish guaranteed to stay on longer. It wont stay on as long as they say it will, but it will stay on longer than regular brands. Put a thin layer of clear polish on over the top. I was at the nail salon yesterday and a girl next to me was just getting her nails painted. They buffed her nails before they painted them. Im not sure why, but maybe that helps the polish to stay on a bit longer. Other than that the only thing you can really do is carry your polish around with you for touch ups when you need them.
have you tried a top coat? That usually works for me.

What nail polish color do you suggest this time of year?

Lately, I have been wearing like a dark blue and I have gotten a lot of compliments but I want to switch it up a bit! What color should I use? What nail polish color do you suggest this time of year?
what about white? it would give a summerish feeling to the cold weather.

or purple would also be a good choice. What nail polish color do you suggest this time of year?
Dark blues, such as denim hues are still great nail colors as we get into the fall season. Although purples are really in right now if you like to follow trends. I've been wearing one I purchased at Walmart by Sally Hanson, its called Flair. I've gotten lots of compliments. Depends on your skintone as well. If your fair wear a deep plum color. If your skintone is medium to dark you can pull off a lighter plum to violet purple.
I love dark blue polish. I also have a dark purple and a green.

    The purple looks great!

At this time I think deep dark colors look nice.

Step2Once you're sure it won't ruin your carpet soak the stained area with the acetone.

Step3Put a towel over the area and press straight down on it as hard as you can. You can set something heavy on it for a few minutes if you want.

Step4Repeat steps 2 and 3 until stain is gone. It may take more than one bottle of acetone to remove depending on how dark the polish is and how much is on the carpet.

Step5After the polish is gone clean the area with soap and water to remove the acetone. Set a towel over the area with weight on top to force out the moisture.

    Things You鈥檒l Need:

    100% Acetone

Old towels or rags that you can throw out after

    soap and water

Step1Spray the shaving cream on the stain

Step2Rub it into the carpet, using your finger tips.

    Step3Rub dry with paper towel
I typed in the Search for questions box ';how to get nail polish out of carpet.'; There were 10 choices on that page with many more pages. Daughter spilled bright red; remover did the job with some work. Good luck
oh boy - I did this when I was a little girl - it was there until my mom replaced the carpet. Not a happy mom that day, nope, not at all!

Pinks, oranges, yellows, and neon greens are my favorites :) And also turquoise! Basically, warm colors, and also some of the lighter cool (as in ';cold) colors. Pink and orange go together great; and green and turquoise would look pretty good. Same with turquoise and orange/turquoise with pink. My favorite would be pink and orange :D
bright colors are definitely in for the summer. right now I am wearing a bright orange. here are sephora's picks: http://www.sephora.com/browse/section.jh鈥?/a>
Something light pink that can work with all the colors you might wear. If you're daring go with a white nail. The entire nail, not the tips. I saw all the models in the Chanel runway show sporting white nails and it looked pretty cool.
    french manicures are always classy.

but for the summer i usually wear pinks and reds.

the ';hot colors'; no blues, greens, dark purples.

but white is a really great color for summer.

which colors do you like better?what color are you nails painted the most? My favorite are blue and red. they were blue last night now there red! lolNail polish?
Hmm...I think I would paint my nails any colour! Right now they are a sparkly pink. A French manicure works with all skin tones and with any colour of clothing. For formal parties, I love a very dark red, almost black, shade. OPI makes great nail polish, which looks good on anyone, really, and Anna Sui came out with some pretty shades this season.Nail polish?
I like a nice blood red. But I often paint my nails mettallic blue.
i like a bright blue, i think it looks awesome!!!
I like bright colors like hot pink lime green and bright orange.
I love red!! Mine are red now! In the summer, when my hands are tanned I wear a light light pink that looks very good too!
i personally don't like red nail polish (i notice that everyone else here seems to, though...) and ';bright'; blue clashes weirdly with my skin tone...but black, navy blue, green, pink, and purple look good on me...and i prefer my nail polish to be either glittery or metallic...
I love blue and red too. Blue is cool and elegant, and red makes one more sexy! I love pink also, it's very cute.
a nice pinkish red is the best and dark red for grls having boy frndz and light cream in parties !
    I like red and black

    Theyre both really city chic

    Nail polish?

Is nail polish a renewable resource or non renewable resource?Nail polish?
Nail polish is a mixture of things; it includes pigments, solvents, and resins/polymers etc to form the paint-like film when it dries. Most of the components are probably derived ultamately from petroleum or mineral substances, so, at least some of it is, technically, non-renewable, however, lets keep it in perspective, the quantity of the earths resources used for nail polish is a very, very tiny fraction, so you can paint your nails without feeling a lot of guilt that you are ripping through the earth's resources like there is no tomorrow.

If you could get your parents to plan ahead and combine errands when driving, not go hog-wild with the air conditioning, fix the leaking fawcet washers, and such stuff, it would offset your nail polish use many, many times over.

    Nail polish?

You know when you get a manicure and they use those thin brushes to add flowers etc? I am trying to find them. Where should I look? I'd prefere that it would not be online store. Any ideas?Nail polish?
yes, try a beauty supply store, or even go to a craft supplies place like michael`s or joann fabrics...they sell brushes of all types %26amp; sizes, i`m sure u could find one there...Nail polish?
prolly have one at the nail salon :)))
sally beaty supply or just a beaty supply store, or ask the person that does your manicure wear she/he gets hers/his!
Sally Beauty Supply or a craft store like Michaels or Ben Franklin in the acrylic paint section...I think even Wal-Mart has them in their craft section.
Go to the nail salon and look there. Ask them for advice.
Sallie beauty supply they have a lot of different item besides hair products

    Nail polish?

Anyone have any credible tips as too how to get nail polish to dry faster? I don't really like the quick dry stuff, it doesn't look as nice...thanks!Nail polish?
fill your sink up with cold water and dip them in there for a few minutes.Nail polish?
after about one minute after you paint your nails, run them under cold water. the extreme temperature change will harden them.
    The wave girl....
put it on nice and thin and put your hand in front of a fan. putting it on thinner also helps it last longer and it does not chip either.
I usually paint my nails before i go to bed and one time, i woke up and they got all messed up because i thought they were dry. My blanket made marks on my toes. Now, i just dry them with my hair dryer.
    Nail dryer or fan
You could blow on them! But I just wait for them to dry. I agree

though, the quick dry isn't as pretty. Good Luck!
Well, you could get a portable fan and tilt it on the table so that it blows on your nails.... I do that and it takes about 30 seconds for any polish to dry.
okay. wait like two minutes or so until they are somewhat dry. get an ICE COLD BOWL of water. it is IMPORTANT to use icecold water or it will not work. now, after two minuites soak ur nails into this water for as long as u can handle. take em out when u get too cold. there u go. just dont touch anything after that. it will shorten drying time.
I like blow on it, and it workes!!!!!!Or i just stand out side in the wind for a fue secs, Good luck.
